Pittsburgh PA's first annual Indoor Horse Show was held on January, 19th, 20th, and 21th at the Hunt Armory in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh for the nationally acclaimed Hill City, located in the Hill District section of Pittsburgh. Top Horse Show Honors
Chesnut Gelding Wins Four Firsts;
Golden Locket Best In High Jump

A chestnut gelding, Puritan Boy owned by the George Braun Farms of New Rochelle, N.Y., and ridden by Jane Clapper, took top honors in the three- day indoor horse show at Hunt Armory, for the benefit of Hill City, which ended Saturday night. Puritan Boy, entered in the hunter class, took four first places in five events of that class. Big Mike, owned by Colonel George H. Cherrington, was runner-up.
Golden Locket, owned by B.A.Blumberger, of Pittsburgh went to six feet, two inches in the high jump and because of the lack of time did not try to best the world record of eight feet, one inch.
The summary Children's championship saddle seat- Miss Valera Sayre, champion: Miss Jacqueline Carson reserve champion.
Children's championship hunter seat- Raymond Beach, champion;Edward Fischer, reserve champion.
Children's back's-Won by Valera Sayre's Twilight; Barbara Siebert's Sweet Sue, second; Raymond Beach's Nancy, third; LaVerne Sayre's Stardust, fourth.
Children's Ponies-Won by Jacqueline Carson's Dancing Doll; Raymond Beach's Nancy, second; Laverne Sayre's Stardust, third; Beechwood Stable's Jock, fourth.
Saddle Ponies( class 34) Won by Raymond Beach's Nancy; William Flinn Lawrence's Cinders, second; Gail Smith's Tommy, Third; John Frederick Lawrence's Tommy Tucker, fourth.
Saddle Ponies (Class 33)-Won by Jacqueline Carson's Dancing Doll; John Frederick Lawrence's Tommy Tucker, second; William Flinn Lawrence's Cinders Third.
Ponies open jumping-Won by Raymond Beach's Nancy; Gail Smith's Tommy, second ; Beechwood Stable's Jock, third.
Jumping Ponies-Won by Beechwood Stable's Jock; Gail Smith's Tommy, second; John Frederick Lawrence's Tommy Tucker, third; William Flinn Lawrence's Cinders, fourth.
Hunt Teams-Won by Sewickley Hunt Team; Hart's Run, second, George Braun's Hunt Team third; Chesnut Ridge, fourth.
