The Obama Team

I have been saying for the last year and a half that Sam Nunn, the ex-Senator from Georgia would have been a very good democratic choice for President of the United States. Mr. Nunn would be an excellent selection as a running mate for Barack Obama as a vice presidential nominee. Sam Nunn has impeccable, sterling credentials on national security, defense and is one of the foremost experts in the country on foreign affairs. Mr. Nunn can go toe to toe with any of the Republicans out there and beat them in any argument on national security, defense or foreign affairs. The Republicans fear Sam Nunn.
Second on my list is Chuck Hagel, present Republican U.S. Senator from Nebraska. His selection would signal reaching across party lines in keeping with Obama’s message of change and representative bipartisanship governance.
Third on my list is Bill Richardson, democratic governor of New Mexico, who would bring many talents, experiences and expertise to the office of the vice president.
Under no circumstances should John Edwards be considered for the vice presidency. Mr. Edwards hasn’t endorsed either Hillary or Barack because he’s afraid that if he endorses the wrong candidate, he will be out of the running for the vice presidency if that candidate looses. I would highly recommend John Edwards for the United States Attorney General, who is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States because I am curious to learn whether Edwards bite is as big as his bark.
