Barack, you were wrong in voting for the FISA legislation. Barack, you must always let principles take precedence over political expediency, even if it means costing you votes or support or winning an election. The FISA legislation that you voted for was one of the most blatantly intrusive violations of our rights to privacy in the last 75 years. The telecommunication companies should not have been granted retroactive immunity after having violated the law and citizens’ constitutional rights.
