The Impeachment of Bush/Cheney Is Long Overdue

Dennis Kucinich has more heart, intestinal fortitude and principles than any member of the present Congress in calling for the impeachment of George Bush and Dick Cheney. Nancy (accommodationist) Pelosi and the short-sighted Harry Reid are two of the most impotent leaders ever in the United States Congress. These two Democrats have not provided the leadership necessary in both Houses of Congress relative to holding the corrupt Bush Administration accountable for their wanton disregard of the U. S. Constitution, the perpetual staggering economy, the misguided war policy on Iraq and Afghanistan, and the war on terror. Nancy, Harry, when is the last time you had a town hall meeting with the American people on the above mentioned issues. Pelosi and Reid need to be recalled for dereliction of duty. The present Congress has an approval rating of 14% which is significantly lower than George Bush’s rating of 28%. What we have in the instant case is a gross failure of leadership in America. This void in leadership has caused problems in every facet and entity in American life. America used to be a country that produced very good strong leaders such as Frederick Douglas, Ida B. Wells, Fannie Lou Hamer, Abraham Lincoln, Dwight David Eisenhower, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Hubert Humphrey, Jacob Javits, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., Barbara Jordan, Margaret Chase Smith and Lyndon Baines Johnson. Our present group of leaders at all political levels lack intellect, vision, foresight and substance. Mediocrity breeds comfort.
