The U.S. Transportation Department concluded in its 10-month study of Toyota vehicles that there was no electronic cause of unintended high-speed acceleration in Toyotas reported since 2009.  I would like to see the data and review what the independent studies have revealed on the nature of the problem with Toyota vehicles high speed acceleration before  I give any credence to the government's findings in the instant case.
Toyota USA gives a boatload of money to the various political candidates in this country and many Americans are dependent upon Toyota for jobs.
Therefore I cannot give Toyota a clean bill of health until all the facts are in from the independent testers.
The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration may be providing a convenient cover for Toyota because of their own complicity in initially handling the complaints that were filed by consumers relative to the unintended high speed acceleration in Toyota's.
NHTSA did not act aggressively on those early consumer complaints and this may just be an attempt to cover-up their lack of thoroughness.
Plus the fact that next year is a Presidential election, Obama will need every vote that is out there including the Toyota employees' votes.
