Poets in the Afternoon In Honor and Celebration of Amiri Baraka Held on April 26, 2014 at the Sankofa Village for the Arts

All the poets did an excellent job in presenting their poems which were well received by the audience. Master of Ceremony, Sala Udin stated that the poets are the flame throwers of the movement for their poetry inspires and raises the level of consciousness among the people for direct, concerted political action.
Ronald B. Saunders read his two poems, one of which was "Ode to The Buffalo Soldiers of the Ninth and Tenth Calvary Regiments".  The second poem was "Massacre at Wounded Knee".
