Maya Moore Leads The Way As Connecticut Captures The N.C.A.A. Women's Ttile With A Hard Fought Victory Over Stanford 53-47

The lady Huskies got over their first half jitters and tightness to overcome a first half deficit to beat Stanford, 53- 47. Maya Moore put on a show of pin point shooting in the second half against the stellar Stanford defense, and Tina Charles led the way on defense with key blocks against an upstart Stanford team that wouldn't die.
The victory was Connecticut's 78th. in a row over two seasons. This is quite a feat winning 78 games in a row.
It is my hope that the Lady Huskies will be able to overcome a murderous schedule next season to break John Wooten's (UCLA) 88 games in a row streak. How will U. Conn. replace Tina Charles ? I am tired of hearing about that Wooten record of 88 games in a row. It will never happen again in Men's Division 1-A basketball.. Never say never !
